How to judge a Diwali offer
A Diwali sale is useful only when the final price, quality and delivery date make sense. Compare the item on at least one other seller, check shipping and platform fees at checkout and read the return or replacement policy before paying.
Shop by deadline
Make three lists: gifts that need delivery, decoration items you can buy locally and last-minute essentials such as diyas, oil, wicks or wrapping paper. For a November 8 celebration, order gifts early enough to allow one failed delivery or replacement.
Online safety example
Open the marketplace by typing its official address or using its verified app. Do not trust a forwarded “Diwali offer” link that asks for an OTP, card PIN, UPI PIN or remote-screen access. A screenshot is not proof that a payment succeeded; check the order inside the official account.
Product checks
For sweets, check ingredients, preparation date, expiry and storage. For lights, check voltage, wire length and outdoor rating. For hampers, check net weight and the actual contents. Keep the order confirmation, invoice and seller contact until the parcel is inspected.
If a discount creates pressure to buy immediately, pause and compare. A genuine offer should still make sense after delivery, return and warranty terms are included.
