Telangana officials have been directed to introduce daily and monthly joint passes covering Hyderabad Metro Rail and TGSRTC bus travel.
Hyderabad commuters could get a simpler way to combine Metro Rail and bus journeys after Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju directed officials to introduce a joint Metro–RTC pass. The direction covers daily and monthly options.
The instruction followed a coordination meeting at Begumpet Metro Rail Bhavan. HMRL and TGSRTC officials said the technical arrangements had been finalised, while the fare structure and rollout details still needed to be completed. The official update does not state a public launch date, so passengers should wait for a formal announcement before relying on the pass.
The meeting also reviewed the proposed Old City Metro corridor, including road widening and consultant appointment work. A combined ticketing system could improve multimodal travel, but its final price, validity and purchase channels will be important for practical commuter use.
