Kolkata Metro Durga Puja 2026 services: Blue and Green lines to run till 4 am
Kolkata Metro will run special services across five corridors from October 15 to 21, with overnight Blue and Green Line operations during the busiest Puja nights.

Kolkata Metro has announced a special Durga Puja 2026 timetable for the festival rush. Services across the Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple and Orange lines are planned from October 15 to October 21, giving pandal visitors and commuters more options during the main festival days.
Overnight services
The biggest change is on the Blue and Green lines. From October 17 to 20, the Blue Line is scheduled to run from 1:00 pm until 4:00 am, while the Green Line is scheduled from 1:30 pm until 3:59 am. The extended window is designed for the large evening and late-night movement associated with Durga Puja visits.
The Blue Line is planned for 248 services daily during this period, while the Green Line is planned for 192 services. Yellow and Purple Line trains will continue into the evening, but their last services are earlier than the overnight corridors.
October 15 and 16 timetable
On Maha Panchami and Maha Sasthi, October 15 and 16, the Blue Line is scheduled to run 284 services from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, with trains every six minutes during busy periods. The Green Line is planned for 240 services from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Yellow, Purple and Orange line services will also operate with their own published frequencies.
Dashami and Orange Line note
On October 21, Dashami, Blue Line services are planned until 10:30 pm and Green Line services until 10:30 pm. The Yellow and Purple lines will also operate, while the Orange Line is listed without service from October 17 to 21 in the published festival timetable.
Travel advice for pandal hoppers
Festival schedules are not a promise that every station entrance, interchange or road approach will feel normal. Choose a meeting point outside the paid area, keep a backup route and check the latest Metro Railway notice before leaving. Crowds can build well before the first train and remain high after a headline service ends.
This report is based on the published Kolkata Metro timetable reported by PTI and the detailed line-by-line schedule reviewed for the 2026 Puja period.
