Delhi Metro Sarthi app crosses one crore downloads: what the platform offers
Delhi Metro’s Sarthi app has crossed one crore downloads and is being positioned as a wider mobility platform for metro tickets, buses, rail and NCR travel services.

Delhi Metro’s Sarthi app has crossed one crore downloads, according to a DMRC update listed on the corporation’s official press-release page. The milestone highlights how digital ticketing is becoming part of everyday public transport in Delhi NCR.
More than a ticketing app
The Sarthi platform is used for Delhi Metro QR tickets and is also associated with a wider set of mobility services. Recent reporting on the DMRC milestone describes integrations or access for DTC buses, IRCTC rail bookings, Namo Bharat and Noida Metro services, along with a virtual metro card and utility features.
The value for commuters is the possibility of planning more of a journey from one place. A trip that begins with a metro ride may also need a bus, regional rail connection or last-mile option. Bringing those functions into one platform can reduce app switching, although passengers should still confirm the operator responsible for each ticket.
What the download milestone tells us
One crore downloads is a reach measure, not a guarantee that every user is active every day. The more useful test is whether the app reliably issues a ticket, displays the QR code at the gate and provides a clear route when several transport operators are involved.
Passengers should keep a backup payment method and make sure the phone is charged before entering a station. If a ticket is bought through a partner service, the terms for cancellation, refund or rebooking may differ from a ticket bought directly through DMRC.
How to use the update responsibly
Download the app only from an official app store or the DMRC-linked channel. Check the developer name, permissions and latest version before installing. Do not share one-time passwords or payment PINs with anyone claiming to provide a faster ticket or refund.
DMRC’s official site lists the one-crore download milestone dated October 1, 2026. The broader service description is included to help commuters understand the platform, not to suggest that every ticket type has identical rules.
